Cloud Log Service

A stable, reliable, convenient, and easy-to-use one-stop log service platform that effortlessly manages massive amounts of log data, aiding enterprises in their digital transformation.

Overview

Cloud Log Service (CLS) is a one-stop logging service platform that offers log collection, storage, search, analysis, shipping, monitoring and alarm, enabling businesses to meet their business operational, service monitoring and log auditing needs.

Benefits

Comprehensive Features

CLS offers a wealth of features, including real-time log collection, structured logging, reliable storage, rapid searches, multidimensional analysis and scheduled log shipping. The service also provides an extensive API and console for easy log management.

Highly Reliable and Available

The high-availability distributed architecture design allows multi-copy redundant backup for log data, which can prevent data unavailability caused by single-node service crashes. The 99.9% service availability ensures stable and reliable log data services.

Elastic Scaling

CLS uses a scalable, distributed architecture that is highly elastic, allowing the simultaneous handling of massive quantities of logs. Users can process hundreds of millions of log files every day without the usual problems of resource provisioning.

Lightning-fast Queries

Logs are captured in real time and can be searched and analyzed as soon as they reach CLS. The powerful query engine can search hundreds of millions of files within a second, allowing vast quantity of log data to be analyzed and processed.

Convenient Access

CLS offers a variety of log collection methods, including the LogListener agent, API and SDK, enabling the easy collection and centralized management of logs.  The entire process can be completed in just 5 minutes. CLS can aggregate logs from diverse sources, including web pages, servers and applications.

Cost-effective

CLS adopts a cost-effective pay-per-use model. By using CLS, users don't need to build a log system from scratch based on open-source frameworks like ELK, nor do they need to worry about idle resources being wasted, thus saving on high hardware costs. After integrating with CLS, users pay based on actual usage, which is cost-effective.

Scenarios

Backend Management

In large computer clusters, LogListener agent can aggregate logs from different nodes for central management through CLS. Keyword searches can rapidly detect log errors and identify problem nodes. Context queries can then be used to reconstruct call chains. Log files are shipped to Cloud Object Storage (COS), which supports mass data storage and life cycle management.

Logging Audit

CLS can collect logs into the log service via its Agent, and quickly analyze access behaviors through its log querying capabilities, such as operation records of a specific account or object, to determine if there are any violations. By delivering logs to the Object Storage Service (COS), CLS can also store log data for a long period to meet compliance and audit requirements.
